About Us
At SOLO, we are a team of two UCI engineering alumni, Jenelle King and Dmytro Firsov. As former student Track & Field athletes, we are passionate about the sport and noticed a significant barrier to entry in competitive athletics. Track & Field programs are often large, with limited coaching staff who are unable to give each athlete the individual attention needed to reach their full potential. As a result, many athletes turn to private coaches for one-on-one training. While these coaches provide valuable knowledge and feedback, their services are often costly.
Motivated by our own experiences and a desire to make high-quality coaching more accessible, we founded SOLO. Our AI-powered app merges our expertise in engineering and athletics to offer personalized training plans, real-time feedback, and the motivation athletes need to succeed—all at an affordable price

The number of athletes that can be added to a coach’s profile is determined by the coach themselves. SOLO provides flexibility for coaches to manage their profiles based on their specific needs. Whether you’re coaching a small team or working with a large number of athletes, you can add as many athletes as necessary. This allows coaches to track the progress of each athlete individually, ensuring personalized feedback and tailored workout plans for everyone under their guidance.

No, you do not have to be affiliated with an athletic program to register for an account with SOLO. There is no limit on the number of videos that can be uploaded at any given time. SOLO provides users with the freedom to upload as many videos as needed to analyze and track performance. This feature is especially beneficial for athletes and coaches who want to document multiple training sessions, compare progress over time, or capture different angles of a performance for more detailed analysis.

Only one athlete of focus should be in a single video. SOLO’s video analysis tools are designed to provide detailed feedback on individual performance. To ensure accuracy in the analysis, it's recommended that each video focuses on one athlete at a time. This allows the platform’s AI algorithms to accurately assess metrics like form, speed, and technique without interference from other participants.
